Some Breeding History
We live in central Alberta one and half hours to Calgary international airport. We raised German Shepherd Dogs and Standardbred horses in the 70's and 80's.In1974 we went to Germany and were able to bring home a great dog named "Basso von der Balver Hoehle". He was with us until he was 15 years old.Three of his sons went to the City of Lethbridge, and in training, passed with high in class. One of his sons was the first search and rescue dog with the Banff Park Warden Service. He had to learn to fly under a helicopter. His pups went all across Canada, the lower 48 states, even Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Guatamala. Then we concentrated on the horses and were lucky enough to produce many champions and track record holders. Our best stallion was"Lemoyne Hanover" that we bought from the Hanover Shoe Farm yearling auction.
In 2004 my wife,Olesa, wanted to raise Mini Poodles and I said OK as long as I could have some Shepherds. She has all Champions already, and does her own grooming, training and loving.

For my German Shepherds, I chose to get my first two bitches from the successful Bullinger Shepherds. They are wonderful animals. We have a nice place for them to run and I can take them out to the back 40 with the John Deere gator.
We used to raise quality dogs and horses, and we are on the right track again, producing dogs that are of the standard, and that are great for their new homes. Two Police Service Dogs we are very proud of are Max of Mundell PSD, and Arco of Mundell PSD. There were several others a long time ago but I have lost track of their names.
We do aptitude and temperament test to match puppies with their new owners. The German Shepherd Dog is very versatile, capable of learning many things, and thinking for itself. They are faithful to their family and I still get great joy from sharing time with them.
